Anna Kostrytska's exhibition
Everything you encounter in life leaves traces on you that can be released through paints. And the only thing that matters in this act of creation and holiness is the intention to record a passing emotion in eternity. This is the realized path of an artist who chose irrational emotional painting, the path of a person who cultivates his own memory and spirituality thanks to colors and textures.
To be an artist means to look for perfection in changes, to build new altars and foundations, to see in reality pictures that have not yet been realized. This is a form of world perception, it is a deliberate heading into the maelstrom of events and acutely experiencing them. It is the belief that the universe is karmic in nature, and there is no other truth than that it always returns everything to you, exaltation or whatever. It's empathy and a strong sense of people, it's a cry mixed with the hope that your stories will be heard. This is conscious meditation and contemplation of the essence of things-in-themselves.
The works in this exhibition are visual poetry of powerful and radical self-expression. They manifest themselves in intuitive color choices, appropriate accents and meaningful shadows and scratches that are worth a long study.
But it all started with a portrait of a powerful man
A powerful person is the personification of the art of management and control. It embodies the ideas of domination, justice, and duty. It is a charming genius that makes you want to obey, serve, fight and pay tribute. This is the ability to convince in the achievement of general well-being and personal happiness. This is decency, responsibility and a clear conscience.
First, there is always a planned composition, and from the sketch grows an emanation of technique, a pure stream of consciousness, a symbiosis of the inner state and the experience of interaction with the world. Working with portraits is a study of one of the most complex and multifaceted parts of a living organism in the universe — the face. This is the study of an endless spectrum of emotions, characters and charisma. This is the perpetuation of one's own empathy as the ability to experience foreign feelings, to be a mirror that captures the reflection of characters from life and interweaves them in colors with imaginary images. All memories and impressions from people, over time, emotionally crystallize and turn into something new in the memory.
Such images inhabit the theater that everyone carries in themselves. This performance is characterized by distributed roles, colorful scenery, lively allusions, inspired monologues and effective remarks. Behind the masks of the portraits in this exhibition are the artist's awe-inspiring impressions and meaningful reflections.
The task is to step over and move on, to create something personal and meaningful, to construct one's own space. The goal is risk, freedom, impulse, experiment, l'Art pour l'Art.
